Title III of the ADA prohibits discrimination on the basis of disability in the activities of “places of public accommodation,” which are businesses open to the public, such as stores, entertainment venues, and doctors’ offices. As businesses gradually reopen, ensuring accessibility to facilities and services for people with disabilities will return to the forefront.
