By popular demand, the Mid-Atlantic ADA Center repeated this webinar with Video Remote Certified Deaf Interpreters in addition to audio and real-time captioning.
Many of the individuals responsible for hiring interpreters are not fluent in sign language and have limited ability to determine an interpreter's skill level and qualifications. Meanwhile, there is growing concern among Deaf individuals regarding the quality of interpreting in various settings, as well as a need to identify measures to ensure access to qualified interpreters. This webinar included information on Certified Deaf Interpreters and their role in facilitating effective communication.
