Webinar: Kayaking, Rafting, and Ziplining: Making Community Recreation and Adventure-Tourism Accessible to All

November 14, 2017 1:00pm to 2:30pm

Presented by the Northwest ADA Center

This 90-minute webinar will include a basic introductory overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) nondiscrimination requirements for outdoor recreational providers and operators including tips, tools, and resources for best practices.

Participants will also gain a greater understanding of the disability market including the many ways people recreate today.

Presenters will share and use real-life operational examples and experiences to illustrate some successful and some not-so-successful instances.  With this information comes confidence in fostering an ongoing inclusive business model to create not only ADA compliance; but a clear advantage over your competition.  Most people desire outdoor recreation for a variety of reasons.  Does your program or business model welcome and strive to make “the Great Outdoors” accessible to ALL customers?  How can I be better prepared to welcome and make “the Great Outdoors” accessible to patrons with disabilities?  Who and where can I go when I have questions?  This session will begin to provide some answers to these questions.

The cost of this session is $45 per site.
