Innovative Strategies for Successful Transition:
Delaware and the District of Columbia

The National Collaborative on Workforce and Disability for Youth (NCWD/Youth) published two new profiles featuring innovative transition programs.

The Career Development Summer Program at the University of Delaware's Center for Disabilities Studies, a seven-week summer program for youth with disabilities ages 16 to 21, features work-based learning practices, including internships, workplace visits, and career development training.

The District of Columbia Public Schools' Competitive Employment Opportunity Program highlights strategies to help high school students with disabilities develop skills for reaching their postsecondary education and employment goals.
