Join us at the beautiful Rocky Gap Lodge & Resort for an in-depth
train-the-trainer event on disability awareness with the provisions of the
Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) integrated throughout each of five
training modules. This training is designed to help you incorporate
disability into your company's diversity efforts while also giving you a
foundational overview of the ADA. Training is open only to trainers-the
DBTAC will screen all registrants.
Covering Five Modules:
- Module 1 - Typecasting: Understanding Disability
- Module 2 - Legal Implications: An Overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act
- Module 3 - Reasonable Accommodation
- Module 4 - Etiquette: Communication and Interaction
- Module 5 - Best Practices for Trainers
Information on the new ADA Amendments Act will also be included.
Cost for this workshop is $125 including continental breakfasts, Wednesday lunch, and all materials. The five-module binder comes with a CD containing
PowerPoint slides, handouts, and more.
