Hospitality Industry Settlement Agreements

Following are settlement agreements and consent agreements that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has entered with various businesses in the hospitality industry. Although different businesses or situations may be unique, reviewing settlement agreements can help both businesses and customers with disabilities gain a better understanding of the ADA’s requirements and how DOJ interprets them.

We selected these particular agreements because they present an array of common issues that arise in restaurants, hotels, motels, and other places of lodging. For a more comprehensive list of agreements, including agreements that address other hospitality industry-related issues (e.g. airport shuttles, taxis, museums, festivals, theaters, arenas, and performance venues), visit the Department of Justice’s ADA Settlements and Consent Agreements opens a new windwo page.
