  • Section 508 requires that Federal agencies' electronic and information technology is accessible to people with disabilities. The section 508, federal site serves as a central hub for section 508 training and information resources. In it you can access each of the topic-specific courses that address 508 implementation as well as explore web links and a glossary of 508-related terms.

  • Access Board provides an online tutorial and resources to allow individuals and organizations to understand how to design, develop, and procure EIT to meet the compliance requirements to ensure the accessible use of Federal EIT.

  • Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) is the initiative of World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) in coordination with organizations around the world, working towards accessibility of the Web through five primary areas of work: technology, guidelines, tools, education and outreach, and research and development. The WAI Technical Activity includes work on technology, guidelines, and tools to increase accessibility of the Web for people with disabilities. WAI publishes guidelines and provides tutorials for developing Web sites, Web authoring tools, and browsers:

  • WebAIM offers online training, tutorials, workshops, resources and presentations for web developers. It also provides information on products, services, books and other news and information on Web accessibility.

  • Easy Access to Software Implementation (EASI) is the provider of online training on adaptive technology and how institutions can provide barrier- free computer and information technology systems for persons with disabilities.
