Technical Assistance
Technical assistance is available through the Mid-Atlantic Accessible Education-Based Information Technology Consortium to assist individuals and organizations in learning more about and improving the provision of assistive and accessible information technologies in education settings. Activities may include assistance in:
- conducting self-assessments on electronic and information technology accessibility
- developing institution-wide standards for accessible distance learning
- creating or improving a school's website
- providing faculty with information they can use in teaching others about accessible electronic and information technology
- designing computer labs accessible to all students; informing individuals with disabilities and their advocates about the laws that cover access to electronic and information technology and more.
Technical assistance is driven by a specific request from an individual with a disability, parent or advocacy group, school, university or other education-related entity.
If you would like to request technical assistance regarding Electronic and Information Technology in education settings, contact the individual(s) listed for your state, below.
